ATLANTA

We are scheduled to pass though Atlanta on Sunday morning which is about the best day to get around it.

After 30 miles, we reach Stone Mt around noon, we have 5.4 mile loop around it, and 10 miles (one hour to ride) to Lithonia. For those interested in activities around SM they can spend the afternoon pedaling past Jimmy Carter Presidential Library (only open Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m) and MLK's Ebenezer Baptist Church (open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

JCPL is 15.5 miles on our route from Smyrna. Instead of Bob's Saturday Smyrna REST DAY loop, follow his loop over to JCPL.

Subject: Re: Revised H2O Ride with GPS maps

I very much appreciate you both reevaluating the routes, breaks, stops, etc. I too am very concerned about riding through Atlanta because of traffic - even on Sunday. I was jesting when I suggested the JC Library and MLK Ebenezer Baptist church. I will be glad to do whatever on our rest day...but I probably will not be anxious for a cycling day in the city

I will definitely use judgement on when it may be better to not ride a section, e.g. Atlanta. I do not have a "EFI" attitude especially since my personal experience has shown me that my body can not tolerate any more crashes. Hopefully I will exercise caution and good judgement. I am very much looking forward to this ride. Thank you for vetting it thoroughly.
